What is Septuism?
The practice of pursuing a Creator or God through the study of the Septuagint, and other available B.C. Jewish scriptures circulated during the time of Jesus, including the 4 accounts or gospels of Jesus. This is done for the purposes of understanding the nature of man, God’s will for man, the need for Jesus, and Jesus’s overall message.
Core Beliefs (Today)
Jewish scriptural writings up to the time of Jesus is God breathed or the Word of God. Its purpose is to account for man, his need for knowledge, and his continual looking to man for answers or to rule.
The Gospels of Jesus are accounts of the Word in Flesh. All writings succeeding Jesus's accounts are not Scripture or the Word of God. To follow them as though they are is to follow man, not Jesus.
There are two Commandments given by Jesus which fulfill the 10 Commandments that are contained in the Septuagint. Love the Lord your God and Love your neighbor as you love yourself.
Denominational and Non-Denominationally required or requested actions for the purposes of demonstrating discipline, faith, commitment, or love should be questioned. No statement of such requirements where made by Jesus, except that those who serve him follow him.
Jesus came to abolish man's "Church" or organized religion, and its leaders, therefore the attendance of church is to follow man, not solely Jesus. Communal gatherings are for the purposes of coming together in worship, prayer, and to share with one another.
The salvation granted to us through the death and resurrection of Jesus is universal.
The veneration or excessive admiration of man or his teachings, (such as Peter, Paul, or Timothy) as well as objects (crosses), is by definition a cult. Jesus taught us to only pray and worship the Father, as he himself did. Therefore, we only pray and worship the Father, not Jesus, but recognize Jesus as the savoir of all mankind sent by the Father. God the Father is neither man nor an object, to worship and pray to Him and Him alone is not a cult.
